The Career Opportunity:
We are seeking experienced CAD Technician to join Ricki’s Home Office located in Winnipeg for a CONTRACT position to cover a leave of absence. If you're a creative person, then a career as a CAD Technician might make an exciting and fitting goal for you!

The CAD Technician will join our Buying team – with primary responsibilities in work alongside Buyers to create and develop merchandising /styling ideas and concepts following brand guidelines. You will create / modify styling through sketches and illustrations.

Co-ordination for the buying team in color and product administration.
Co-ordination of trend by creating inspiration boards and theme boards for merchandise development.
Create/design computer technical sketches of product concepts for the Buying Team. Create/colour computer sketches of merchandise samples.
Assists the co-ordination of color direction by creating, editing and distributing seasonal color cards.
Organize all color samples.
Partner effectively with all team members.
Actively participate in cross-functional team meetings.
Work in an organized manner – using and maintaining supplied tools and archiving work appropriately.

Enthusiastic, creative individual who can produce high quality work under tight timelines, while maintaining a consistent on-brand look and feel.
Detail oriented, and skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking.
Motivated to balance design aesthetic with speed of delivery and achieving business results.

Practical experience in the apparel industry, C.A.D. systems such Illustrator & In-Design knowledge.
Additional preferred experience includes Gerber Fashion Studio; scanning equipment, color printers, and digital cameras.

Able to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners.
Demonstrate strong listening, written and oral communication skills.
