Maintenance Mechanic

The Job:
The applicant will be responsible for all production line maintenance, including product quality control, line setup and repair. The role will include interpreting mechanical drawings, pneumatic schematics, mechanical assembly of machine components, machine changeovers, start-up, testing and adjusting. Some limited machining of components for machine improvements and repair.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years relevant work experience;
- College diploma or certificate in mechanical technology, toolmaking, or machining, completed apprenticeship or equivalent preferred.
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues, report, repair and/or correct the issues with minimal supervision.
- Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings, mechanical drawings, and pneumatic schematics.
- Familiar with basic hand tools.
- Familiar with machine shop equipment (lathe / mill / surface grinder).
- Team player can work independently.
- Forklift License preferred
- Good interpersonal skills and a customer service orientation.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Must be available to work overtime and weekends.
