RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Perform general labour duties throughout the marine yard, docks, and storage areas.
-
Support vessel relocation, launch, haul-out, and seasonal storage operations.

Assist with the setup, removal, and maintenance of docks and other waterfront equipment.

Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas, including the marine yard and storage facility
-
Inspect tools and equipment and report any damage, hazards, or maintenance concerns.

Assist the Marine Services team with basic maintenance.
-
Follow proper lifting, material-handling, and workplace safety procedures.
-
Communicate respectfully and professionally with Members, guests, and teammates.

Follow all RCYC safety policies and operational procedures.
WHAT YOU BRING:
-
High school diploma or equivalent.
-
Previous experience in general labour, warehouse operations, construction, maintenance, or a similar hands-on environment and strong mechanical aptitude
-
Marine or boatyard experience is considered an asset but is not required.

Experience with material handling, loading, unloading, or equipment organization.
-
Forklift certification or previous forklift experience is considered an asset.

Must be physically fit and able to lift more than 50 lbs.

Be comfortable working around boats and water.
-
Strong communication skills and attention to safety.

Willingness to learn new marine operations and technical skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Frequent walking, lifting, bending, and climbing.

Ability to lift and move items weighing more than 50 lbs.

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Comfortable working in marine yard and waterfront environment.

Must be able to swim.
HOURS OF WORK:
-
Seasonal full-time position from September to December.

Shifts may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Based at RCYC’s Island Clubhouse (accessible via the Club's private launch from 150 Cherry St. Parking included.)
