We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and professionalism in representing our company on the road.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks to transport goods to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment as necessary.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules.
- Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the vehicle as needed.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding transportation.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
- Experience in freight transportation preferred.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and heavy equipment is a plus.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving.
- Ability to perform minor automotive repairs is advantageous.
- Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality.
