Conditions of Employment:
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Must have the ability to travel to different work locations throughout Manitoba and provide own transportation
Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends and holidays as required

Experience providing administrative, clerical and secretarial support functions for senior management including but not limited to: ordering supplies, processing invoices, managing calendars, receiving, logging and distributing mail, managing correspondence, answering, screening and directing telephone inquiries
Experience creating and maintaining paper and electronic filing, tracking and bring forward systems
Experience using and maintaining databases in an office setting
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively facilitate positive working relationships
Strong organizational and time management skills including but not limited to: the ability to establish priorities to meet tight deadlines, adapt to unforeseen interruptions and unforeseen changes in schedule
Ability to work as part of a team including providing support to others in adopting new processes or systems
Effective written communication skills with the ability to pay attention to detail and maintain accuracy when drafting, proofreading and editing various documents
Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with the public and government officials at all levels
Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision
Experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

This position provides administrative, coordination and secretarial support to the Director's office and within the Branch. The position is responsible for demonstrating leadership in coordinating activities and in completing independent tasks, such as collating information from the Branches, gathering background information and organizing events that contribute to the completion of larger initiatives. The responsibilities of this position including assisting the Director with scheduling, correspondence, follow up with staff on deadlines, coordination of administrative functions. Additionally, the incumbent will administratively support a variety of Branch and Division initiatives through the development, revision and editing of documents and websites, organization of meetings, records management and coordination of schedules.
