Island Health’s Division of Neurology is interested in recruiting Neurologists with excellent General Neurology skills. This is a new position created to encourage Neurologists to join our Group of sub-specialist Neurologists all while focusing on community practice. This role will complement our tertiary hospital based clinics. The successful applicant will be expected to establish an independent practice in the community. As a member of our Group, our team will help support any new members while they establish their practice. There are opportunities to join established practices as well as the benefit of peer support from our welcoming and cohesive team. The successful applicant will benefit from joining our general neurology on call rotation in a reduced capacity (.5 equivalent) allowing them to participate in a larger call group with reduced frequency of on call.
Victoria is an acute stroke referral centre. We have access to full intensive care, neurosurgical and radiology specialties. Our program offers sub-specialty care in stroke, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, neuro-ophthalmology, movement disorders, neuro-muscular and neuro-behavioral disorders. We work closely as a collaborative group and are seeking engaged team players
