The Department of Music at Mount Allison University invites applications for a full-time 10-
month position in Applied Voice. Priority will be given to applicants with a completed doctorate
in Voice Performance, an established record as a performer, and teaching experience at the
university level. Teaching responsibilities will include weekly studio instruction in voice,
overseeing student performance preparation, and hearing performance juries associated with
these students. Other responsibilities will include teaching a course in Vocal Pedagogy. In
addition, the successful applicant will be expected to undertake departmental service, including
outreach, recruitment, and committee work. Courses will be taught on the campus of Mount
Allison University, with the possibility of online instruction as needed. The appointment will be
made at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor and will be effective August 16, 2020,
subject to budgetary approval.
