Position Summary
The Housekeeping Runner supports the housekeeping team by ensuring room attendants have the supplies and assistance needed to efficiently clean guest rooms. This role focuses on preparing rooms for cleaning, maintaining stock levels, and assisting with general cleanliness and organization of housekeeping areas.
Hours Required
Saturday and Sundays (both or one day depending on hotel needs), shifts start at 9:00am.
Extra hours are available during July and August
Key Responsibilities
- Strip beds in guest rooms and remove used linens and towels
- Collect and dispose of garbage from guest rooms and housekeeping carts
- Stock housekeeping carts with linens, towels, and cleaning supplies
- Deliver supplies to room attendants as needed throughout the shift
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of linen rooms and storage areas
- Assist with transporting laundry to and from designated areas
- Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to supervisors
- Follow all health, safety, and cleanliness standards
- Support the housekeeping team with additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Previous hotel or housekeeping experience is an asset but not required
