Job Summary:
The Warehouse Manager monitors and maintains the efficient flow of the overall warehouse packing operation.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supervise the sorting, packing, labeling and shipping/receiving of all products in the warehouse
- Ensure all sales orders are allocated through inventory or production so that customer service objectives are achieved.
- Maintain, in conjunction with sales, an inventory plan for the 0-3-day horizon that includes tracking of inbounds, production plans and forecasted sales.
- routinely check product quality in inventory and at receiving.
- Maintain regular communication with Receiving and logistics, with specific emphasis on load priorities and product specifications.
- Make suggestions to sales for the disposal/movement of surplus commodities in a timely fashion.
- verify Organic compliance is maintained in assigned area of responsibility.
- Communicate missed quality issues with procurement and quality.
- Liaise between sales and commodity operations to ensure customer expectations are satisfied.
- Willingness to work independently, with minimal supervision and take ownership of job.
- Comfortable making decisions.
- Must have strong communication skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Will need to learn significant product/industry knowledge.
- Must be high-performance team player and be willing to work in a dynamic, growing, demanding, and fast paced environment.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Need to be creative, adaptable, and able to accurately handle out-of-the-ordinary issues with a sense of urgency.
- Must have ability to effectively follow-up and handle multiple projects with strong personal time management skills and effectively manage associated stress.
- Proficient in basic computer-use skills (i.e. Word, Excel) and will need to learn NAV, JDA.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years management experience
- Prior warehouse experience
- Knowledge of Health and Safety, Food Safety, HACCP and the PrimusGFS program
- Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to train team members and interact with all levels of the organization
- Able to lead and work in a team
