We are looking for a professional, high-energy Lead Bartender with excellent communication skills to serve classic cocktails and exciting new beverages to our guests. The lead bartender is accountable for the day to day operations of the bar including managing the bar inventory and ordering supplies; planning, scheduling and executing prep; training new bartenders; Creating unique cocktails and special drink recipes; conducting tours and tastings; hosting classes and educational seminars; actively working behind the bar – including during events.
To succeed in this role, you should have a neat appearance and an engaging, friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable.
Responsibilities:
· Welcoming customers, educating guests on True Wild’s products, making recommendations, and taking drink orders.
· Prepare and serve beverages, including alcoholic drinks, to customers following standard recipes.
· Maintain cleanliness of the bar area and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
· Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system efficiently.
· Check identification to verify legal age requirements for all customers.
· Menu Development.
· Tours and tasting.
· Bar Prep scheduling & Follow-up.
· Conducting briefings with service staff prior to each service.
· Monitoring and reenforcing True Wild’s standards of service.
· Follow bar, beverage and wine control procedures.
· Conducting regular inventory and troubleshooting.
· Purchasing.
· Storage Room & Fridge maintenance.
· Opening & Closing Checklists.
· Opening and closing the restaurant.
Requirements:
· Proficiency in bartending techniques and drink preparation.
· Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
· Meets Alberta minimum age to serve alcohol.
· Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations.
· ProServe certified.
· Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
· Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance.
· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
· Strong task and time management abilities.
· Eye for detail and understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques.
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.

Pay: $15.00-$21.55 per hour
