The Canada Homes for Rent family is expanding and we are seeking a motivated individual to join our team.
The duties of the Property Manager fall into 4 Sub-Categories. Property Administration, Leasing, Tenant Relations and General Maintenance. The following outlines the basic requirements of each sub-category.
1) Property Administration:
- Property Inspections
- Work Orders
- Pest Control Inspections and Mitigation
You will be responsible for maintaining the tenancies of the buildings that you manage and refilling any vacancies that occur. This will include:
- Ensuring Unit Readiness
- Scheduling and Conducting move-ins and move out inspections
3) Tenant Relations:
- Handling Tenant Complaints
- Rent Monitoring
- Lease Endings
- Notices to Enter Premises
4) General Maintenance:
- Changing Locks
- Unit Cleanouts.
- Cleaning Dryer Vents
- Other Duties as necessary
The successful candidate must be extremely team oriented and self motivated. You must possess excellent organization and time management skills. The chosen individual must be able to work flexible hours which will include some evenings/weekends and holidays due to the nature of the profession. You must have great inter-personal communication skills and be able to handle high stress situations. Clean and valid driver's license is required as well as own transportation to and from the office. A criminal record check is required. Basic computer skills are required. Any experience in Property Management would be considered an asset, as would knowledge of the rental market and Tenancy Act. Fluency in both English and French would be a requirement.
