Binnie has an exciting opportunity for a Proposal Coordinator to join our modern 41,000 square foot corporate Head Office of over 175 staff near scenic Deer Lake in Burnaby. This is a full-time, permanent position. As part of our Marketing and Proposal team, you will support our business development efforts and play a key role in producing high quality proposals. You will work closely with our subject matter experts—Engineers and Landscape Architects—to write about, and promote, our services.

Coordinating proposals from beginning to end, determining deadlines and deliverables and managing communications with key stakeholders to ensure milestones are met
Supporting the proposal process by drafting templates, coordinating and attending meetings, compiling and tracking materials, proofreading, formatting, and performing final quality control and ensuring RFP compliance prior to submission
Writing, reviewing, and editing standard content used for proposals including resumes, project highlight sheets, service brochures, and other supporting information
Collaborating with the various Binnie Divisions to research and develop content for the preparation and assembly of award submissions
Assisting with marketing and communication activities for internal and external audiences, special projects, event planning, and coordinating the development and production of marketing materials and promotional items as needed
Participating in strategic discussions to identify best approaches to support ongoing improvements of our proposal process, and development of materials and training programs

1-2 years of experience in preparing proposals or writing grants
Diploma or Degree in English/Communications/Marketing or other relevant program
Strong business/technical writing skills
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Basic skills in Microsoft Project, Visio, and PowerPoint
Keen eye for detail and document layout skills (design experience with Adobe Creative Suite considered an asset)
Exceptional ability to manage multiple competing demands and meet deadlines consistently
