Farley Group has an exciting opportunity for a Service Technician to support our growing operation. We have a proud tradition in the sales, manufacturing, installation and servicing of air-supported structures since 1970 and are committed to continuing the development of products, services and our team to best serve our customers and communities.
The Role
Join our fun team, experience new adventures travelling with our crew and utilizing your skills to create air supported structures. Learn a new trade and get opportunities for advancement! Assist with the service, installation and dismantling of air structures, completing tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
Duties and responsibilities
· Assist with the direction of on-site temporary labour.
· Operate various on-site power and hand tools.
· Operate a handheld heat sealer specifically designed for air structure welding.
· Decipher construction drawings related to grade beam and air structure details.
· Load and unload trucks containing air structure membrane, inflation equipment, lights, cables, etc.
· Provide reports to the Site Supervisor regarding work performed and projects completed.
· Assist with paperwork for receiving air structure.
· Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Completed Secondary education or GED. Candidates with equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
· Construction experience is an asset
· Must be customer service oriented.
· Operate a forklift and man lift – training is provided
· Must maintain valid licenses for forklift, working from heights and other related certificates such as Fall Arrest/First Aid/WHIMIS/Propane Handling – training is provided
· Must possess a valid G driver’s license with a good driving record.
· Ability to obtain passport and E1 Visa would be a strong asset.
· Computer skills/Microsoft Office (Outlook/Excel/Word) would be an asset.
· Ability to address unexpected issues in short timeframes (e.g., equipment failures, last-minute changes to client needs, etc. in the absence of the Site-Supervisor.
· Good problem-solving skills, including the ability to employ judgment and experience to determine the best solution amongst several alternatives.
· A satisfactory Police Record Check required at time of offer.

· Able to work effectively and cordially in a team environment.
· Flexible to work overtime and weekends when and if required.
