Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Infant and Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental milestones through engaging activities and personalized care. This role requires strong communication skills, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children. Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly valued to enhance our diverse learning community. The teacher will collaborate with families and colleagues to promote positive growth and learning experiences for infants and toddlers.
Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of infants and toddlers.
- Provide a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Monitor and document each child's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones regularly.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily routines, developmental updates, and any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, health information, and classroom supplies.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities to meet individual requirements.
- Foster positive relationships with children to promote trust, independence, and confidence.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with licensing regulations and center policies.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education best practices.
Experience
- IT certificate, Prior classroom experience working with infants and toddlers is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development theories.
- Experience working with children with special needs or disabilities is a plus.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable to support diverse families.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members.
- Organizational skills to manage classroom activities, documentation, and daily routines efficiently.
- Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities while maintaining a nurturing approach.
- Familiarity with computer operation for record keeping, lesson planning, or communication purposes is advantageous.
