Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety practices. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly, providing high-quality meals to our guests while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and measuring.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor food quality during preparation and cooking to ensure consistency and excellence.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
- Help in inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Follow all food handling procedures to maintain food safety standards.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and meal preparation processes.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
