Principal Responsibilities/Key Results Areas:
- Own end-to-end program leadership for solar racking systems across carport, single-axis tracker, and fixed-tilt product lines, driving strategy, execution, and lifecycle performance from concept through commercialization and ongoing product optimization.
- Define and lead multi-year program roadmaps aligned with business, customer, and market objectives, ensuring successful delivery of complex, multi-site solar infrastructure solutions.
- Direct all phases of the program lifecycle—including concept development, feasibility, design, engineering validation, manufacturing readiness, pilot builds, launch, and production scale-up—ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets.
- Act as the senior technical and program interface for customers, translating requirements into executable engineering and manufacturing deliverables while ensuring alignment across internal stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional global teams spanning engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, procurement, and field operations, driving accountability, alignment, and execution excellence.
- Own customer requirement governance, ensuring design integrity and compliance with contractual, regulatory, and performance specifications across all deliverables.
- Provide final review and approval oversight for racking system designs, engineering changes, and product configurations, ensuring robustness, manufacturability, and field performance.
- Lead strategic vendor and supplier management, including selection, capability development, commercial alignment, and performance management to ensure cost, quality, and delivery objectives are met.
- Oversee program budget ownership, cost control strategies, and financial performance, including tooling, BOM optimization, pricing inputs, and lifecycle cost management.
- Drive manufacturing readiness and industrialization activities, ensuring tooling, prototypes, early builds, and production ramp-up meet target performance metrics.
- Establish and govern program execution frameworks, including schedules, resource planning, risk management, issue resolution, and change control processes.
- Lead enterprise-level change management for BOM updates, engineering changes, tooling revisions, and cost impacts, ensuring cross-functional alignment and disciplined execution.
- Conduct site visits and customer engagements to validate field performance, resolve escalations, and translate operational insights into engineering and product improvements.
- Lead and mentor regional and global program teams, setting clear expectations, developing talent, and building high-performance execution culture.
- Facilitate executive-level program reviews, cross-functional steering meetings, and customer governance sessions, ensuring transparency and decision-making alignment.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across product design, installation processes, manufacturing efficiency, and lifecycle performance, including adoption of new technologies.
- Identify and support new business opportunities through technical differentiation, customer engagement, and solution positioning in collaboration with sales and business development teams.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal operational policies across all project activities.
- Maintain accountability for training, performance management, and professional development of team members.
- Perform other strategic program leadership responsibilities as required.
Requirements::
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Project Management, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical discipline (advanced degree preferred).
- 7+ years of progressive experience in program or project management, with at least 5+ years in solar, renewable energy, or large-scale construction/infrastructure programs.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-disciplinary programs through full lifecycle delivery (design → manufacturing → construction → commissioning).
- Strong track record of ownership of large budgets, cost optimization, and financial performance accountability.
- Proven leadership of cross-functional and geographically distributed teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and supplier organizations.
- Deep experience managing external partners, subcontractors, and global supply chains in a high-complexity environment.
- Strong technical understanding of structural systems, foundation technologies, and construction methodologies (solar experience strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, customers, and executive leadership in a matrixed environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale programs simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making capabilities with a bias toward execution and outcomes.
- Familiarity with applicable construction codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
- PMP certification or equivalent is considered an asset.
