Position Summary
We are seeking a Production Supervisor to lead our production team in achieving daily and long-term operational goals. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for supervising and coordinating production staff to meet production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Job Description
- Embody and promote company’s core values (Integrity, Growth and Resilience).
- Provide direct supervision and support to production staff, ensuring alignment with daily and long-term production goals.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with environmental and food safety regulations. Promote a zero-incident safety culture.
- Monitor and improve production processes to reduce downtime, eliminate bottlenecks, and enhance throughput.
- Optimize workforce utilization through strategic planning, task standardization, and cross-training initiatives.
- Analyze yield performance and implement corrective actions to minimize loss and maximize product recovery while maintaining quality standards.
- Champion Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and other CI methodologies to reduce waste and improve process control.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with team members and other departments to ensure operational alignment.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to plan and execute routine and shutdown maintenance, minimizing disruptions and extending equipment life.
- Utilize MS Office tools to track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
- Robotics and automation experience considered an asset (case packing, case erecting, and palletization systems).
- Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and/or statutory holidays, to support production demands
- Ability to work rotating shifts as per business needs.
- Physically capable of standing for long periods, working in ranging temperatures and humidity levels, and perform lifting (up to 25kgs), pushing, pulling and repetitive movements.
- Strong communication skills—verbal, written, and active listening.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands.
- Reliable attendance is critical.
