Job Overview
As a Product Data Specialist, you will play an important role in building and maintaining the foundation of our future product database and digital platform.
Your main responsibility will be to research, organize, and manage product information for industrial pumps and replacement parts. The information you create and maintain will support our future website, inventory systems, purchasing processes, and customer experience.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organizing information, working with data, learning technical products, and improving systems.
You will work closely with the company owner, engineering resources, and operations team to develop accurate, consistent, and valuable product information.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a structured product database using Microsoft Excel and other software tools.
- Research and organize aftermarket industrial pump and replacement part information.
- Create and maintain accurate product descriptions, part numbers, and product records.
- Organize OEM part numbers, replacement part numbers, and cross-reference information.
- Use manufacturer catalogues, manuals, technical databases, drawings, and reference materials to organize product details, including: Product specifications, Materials, Compatibility information, and related product information
- Work with internal team members and engineering resources to organize technical documents and product references.
- Develop product categories and data structures that will support future website search and navigation.
- Review and improve product information for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Assist with inventory organization, pricing updates, and other operational projects.
- Help create processes and standards that improve how product information is managed.
