Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Technologist to join our healthcare team. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging procedures, excellent patient care skills, and proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to capture detailed images of internal organs, tissues, and blood flow.
- Accurately document patient information and imaging results for physician review.
- Maintain the cleanliness and proper functioning of ultrasound equipment through routine checks and troubleshooting.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques through ongoing professional development.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to diagnostic imaging.
- At least 3 years of experience in Canada.
- To be able to do MSK / OB / Abdomen / Pelvic / TV.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to operate ultrasound machinery with precision and attention to detail.
- Compassionate approach to patient care, ensuring comfort during procedures.
- Good organizational skills for managing multiple patients and maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
