Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Property Manager / Realtor Assistant to support daily property management operations and real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will assist with tenant relations, property maintenance coordination, administrative tasks, and marketing activities while helping ensure a positive experience for property owners, tenants, buyers, and sellers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day management of residential and/or commercial properties.
- Respond to tenant inquiries and coordinate maintenance requests.
- Schedule property inspections, repairs, and vendor appointments.
- Maintain accurate tenant, property, and financial records.
- Collect and track rent payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Prepare lease agreements, renewals, notices, and other property documents.
- Support real estate transactions by preparing contracts and required paperwork.
- Schedule property showings, open houses, and client appointments.
- Create and update property listings on MLS and other real estate platforms.
- Coordinate marketing activities, including social media posts and online advertisements.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and client inquiries in a professional manner.
- Assist with document management and ensure compliance with local real estate regulations.
- Perform general administrative duties, including filing, data entry, and calendar management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in business, real estate, or a related field is an asset.
- Previous experience in property management, real estate, or administrative support preferred.
- Knowledge of property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with MLS systems and real estate documentation is an asset.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with lease administration and tenant relations.
- Basic bookkeeping or accounting knowledge.
- Social media marketing and content creation experience.
- Knowledge of local landlord-tenant laws and real estate practices.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
- Full-time
- Combination of office work and occasional property visits.
- Some evening or weekend availability may be required for property showings or emergencies.
Compensation:
- Start at 30 hours/week (10am-4pm) and grow to a full-time position
- Salary commensurate with experience
