Who we are: We are an independent automotive shop with 5 hoists located in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta and we are looking for an experienced 4th year or journeyman/women to join our team. Co-pay benefits are available after a 3 month probation and salary is straight time and based on experience.
Duties:
- Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements, fluid exchanges etc.
- Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, such as engine problems, electrical malfunctions, and brake system failures.
-Remove and replace engines and transmission repair or replacement
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot complex automotive issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed on vehicles.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and explaining repairs in a clear and understandable manner.
- Keep work area clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Requirements:
For 4 Year Applicants
- High school diploma or equivalent and 4 years of trade schooling and experience.
For journeyman applicants
- Completion of an automotive technician training program with 5 + years experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality of work.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
