Responsible for conducting assessments of bids and providing technical support to customers. Ensures that company requirements and best practice concerning estimating are implemented and utilized.
Reviews and interprets customer drawings, plans, and specifications.
Gathers all data necessary to determine scope of work and consults with external vendors/suppliers to obtain pricing
Ensures the accurate preparation and timely handling of all requests for quotations and supporting documentation.
Reviews, analyzes, and checks bid documents for completeness; corrects any ambiguities, errors, or omissions
Works with and assists sales representatives to prepare accurate and timely bids and sales contracts
Responds to requests for information regarding company products and services when the designated sales representative is unavailable
Acts as internal resource for major accounts in collaboration with sales manager.
Assists and supports customers, both by telephone and through written correspondence
Education: Diploma in Electrodynamics, Electronics or Mechanics preferred
Work Experience: 3-4 years
Knowledge: knowledge of MS Office, experience with understanding drawings and documentation; experience with drafting or engineering support; Power generation or electrical industry experience an asset
