Duties
- Prepare and assemble dishes to exact recipe and presentation standards, with a focus on ensuring quality and consistency throughout service
- Maintain a clean and organized station with an up-to-date prep list and being mindful par levels
- Uphold the highest degree of food safety and sanitation by practicing proper food rotation (FIFO) and clear labeling, maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of prep areas, equipment and tools, minimizing potential for cross-contamination and completing temperature logs
- Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing deliveries
- Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth, efficient service, especially during high-volume periods
- Take pride in your work and contribute positively to staff morale and overall culture
- Perform additional duties as required to support the overall success of the team
- Participate in the training of new kitchen staff as required.
Skills
- Proven ability and experience (3 years +) managing all stations on the line
- Strong communication skills with the desire to collaborate and the
- Ability to form professional relationships - proactive, team-player who can work well independently as well as a key member of a team
- Ability to multitask and work in a demanding, fast-paced environment - ideally at least 2 years of experience in a scratch cook/fine dining high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment
- Advanced understanding of professional cooking, allergies/dietary restrictions and knife handling/butchery skills.
- Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour

Experience:
- high volume fine dining or casual fine dining: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Food Handlers of Food Safety Certification? (preferred)
