Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete work, including the ability to read blueprints and perform heavy lifting. This role involves finishing concrete surfaces and ensuring quality installations in various construction projects. The Concrete Finisher will work closely with other construction professionals to achieve project goals and maintain safety standards.
Duties
- Interpret and follow blueprints and project specifications for concrete installation.
- Prepare surfaces for concrete pouring, including excavation and grading.
- Operate heavy equipment as needed for site preparation and material handling.
- Mix, pour, and finish concrete to achieve desired textures and finishes.
- Use hand tools effectively for shaping, smoothing, and restoring concrete surfaces.
- Perform masonry tasks as required, including bricklaying and stonework.
- Assist in flooring installation projects by preparing subfloors and applying concrete overlays.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods.
- Knowledge of masonry techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with various hand tools and heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
