We are currently looking for a Cloud Bookkeeper to join our team to work on full-cycle bookkeeping for our small business clients. This can be a full time or part-time position based out of our North Vancouver office. While the position generally requires working from our office, it can be combined with the ability to work remotely, thereby creating a highly flexible working environment.

- Provide monthly bookkeeping functions to clients including bank reconciliations, payroll, GST / HST returns, and accounts payable entry
- Communicate directly and manage relationships with multiple clients about their books; correspond with other individuals involved in the bookkeeping process as required
- Ensure that all clients are delighted with our services. Our values include timely and effective communication, meeting committed deadlines and deliverables, and providing value through stellar bookkeeping and accounting support.
- Taking on the occasional shoebox, getting it organized, and setting up clients to be successful using cloud based tools
- Learning about new technology in the industry and how software apps can help make the bookkeeping process more efficient and streamline workflow
- Proactively suggest ways we can improve our client record keeping
- Assist is other bookkeeping and accounting tasks, such as CRA review, when they arise
- Some administrative duties will be required
- Some formal education in business, accounting, or finance
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting practices
- 2+ years of related experience working in a public practice or in an accounting environment
- An accounting designation (e.g. CPA), or current enrolment in the CPA program, would be an asset
- Comfortable working with cloud accounting applications (such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage Accounting)
- Bonus points if you have experience migrating from desktop accounting software to cloud based software
- You hold yourself to high standards, especially when it comes to accuracy, attention to detail and providing excellent client service
- You are organized, efficient, and able to manage time constraints and perform within established budget parameters
- You are confident in embracing new technology platforms to solve client issues.
- Experience in developing strong relationships with your peers based on trust, accountability, integrity, and sharing of best practices
- You maintain the highest level of confidentiality while working with sensitive client information
- You have solid computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Typing speed of 50+ WPM
