Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Hospital experience and prior pharmacy technician experience are highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain inventory levels by ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies.
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and safety protocols within the pharmacy.
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate effective medication management.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing phone inquiries.
Skills
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care.
- Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred, enhancing familiarity with clinical workflows.
- Experience as a pharmacy technician is an asset, showcasing knowledge of medication administration processes.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

- Requirements: Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a pharmacy setting and demonstrate advanced proficiency in pharmacy fillware software. Please note that this 5-year experience requirement is mandatory for consideration of your resume
- Compensation: Competitive hourly pay will be determined based on the candidate's specific years of experience, technical expertise, and skill set, to be finalized during the interview process.

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
