Job Summary
The Production Project Leader is responsible for initiatives to improve production safety, quality, capacity, reliability, cost per 1000 dosages, customer service and regulatory compliance in the Production department. Acting as a leading member of a team, the Project Leader works with others in Solid Dose Production in an attempt to reduce or eliminate non-value added activities or costs, while maintaining or improving quality, productivity and timeliness of the projects being managed
Job Responsibilities
Work closely with Production Technicians and the Production Technical team to understand and analyze production processes and equipment in order to make continuous improvements focusing on Safety, Quality and Productivity.
Manage resources to complete projects on schedule and create contingency plans to ensure minimal production impact.
Liaise regularly with Production Operations, Engineering, and Quality Assurance, and SHE group to coordinate project activities, to provide technical advice, leadership and updates on project status, to implement initiatives in meeting business needs.
Following Change Control requirement, coordinate the installation and commissioning or production equipment including completing equipment installation and operational qualifications (IQ/OQs) for new and existing equipment as required.
Seek out issues and recommend solutions for improvements in production processes, reliability and compliance to Production Operations, Engineering and Quality Assurance.
Coordinate the activities of team members, outside consultants/vendors and contractors in the execution of projects, ensuring technical and regulatory compliance standards. Under supervision, ensure cost and schedule parameters are continuously monitored.
Generate maintenance and operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required
Ensure that all work is performed in full compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), SOPs and in accordance with established Safety Standards
Perform additional related duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Post secondary degree in Engineering, Sciences or a related technical field preferred or equivalent combination of College diploma and project management experience in a manufacturing environment
Leadership ability particularly in the areas of achieving outcomes through others, developing and maintaining positive working relationships, clarifying expectations and seeking understanding, and taking ownership and accountability for own performance
Ability to work within a team environment (as part of a team) as demonstrated through previous work experience
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proven customer service skills
Proven strong organizational, time management, and project management skills. Demonstrated experience in coordinating project activities
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
