About the opportunity:
Within the Corporate IT environment, the Junior Systems Analyst Supply Chain supports the SAP system for assigned business unit by partnering with unit staff & managers to provide SAP Support/Training, along with assisting with SAP technology solutions that support achievement of business objectives and working with the business to define the requirements for new system or process enhancements to existing application.
The attributes we are looking for:
- Provide on-going support by identifying and resolving system problems and training end users in the use of SAP and business processes.
- Assist in planning the implementation of system changes by contributing to project plans and developing system and technical design specifications.
- Implement changes by configuring processes, performing unit and integration testing, coordinating the implementation of the changes, and preparing configuration and user documentation for each project. Also, prepare functional specifications for custom development requirements
- Assist the Master Data Control group with new data requirements by designing new data structures and assisting with the conversion in the production environment.
- Implement and maintain 3rd party software solutions and middleware which are interfaced with related SAP modules.
What you will bring:
- Post-Secondary Education in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
- Minimum Two (2) years’ experience in implementing and/or supporting SAP ECC in related module(s)
- SAP certification in related module(s) is an asset
- Business process analysis, system requirements gathering, and user training experience is an asset
- Supply chain knowledge or relevant experience is an asset.
- Knowledge about Middleware server, Data exchange protocols, Interface design is an asset.
- Experience with SQL inquiry, direct database data retrieval is preferred.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to provide a high level of customer service
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees including management levels
- Ability to provide training for others
- Ability to maintain current knowledge of new developments in technical areas for possible application within the company
- Thorough understanding of database design and data modeling techniques
- Ability to optimize business processes, system, and reporting requirements for assigned business unit, in relation to the packaged goods industry
