The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director, Engineering, the Project Engineering Manager will be a crucial part within Canopy Growth, including its wholly owned subsidiaries.This individual will be a detail-oriented person who can work independently and in collaboration with all stakeholders.

Provide leadership and direction to the Canopy Project Engineering team in support of customer and stakeholder needs and Canopy objectives
Manage Project Engineering department including headcount, spending, employee/team development, project prioritization, customer and stakeholder satisfaction.
Gain buy in from stakeholder with regard to project deliverables.
Develop and oversee a robust project management process to keep engineering projects on schedule and on budget.
Lead activities related to equipment design, development, specification, installation, commissioning and validation. Check technical accuracy of work, organize FAT and ensure proper ramp-up of equipment.
Review and recommend contracts for equipment and machines.
Develop overall concepts for production equipment for new and innovative products.
Develop solutions to standardize equipment across all sites and production platforms.
Ensure compliance with administrative policies, procedures, and standards around engineering activities.
Other duties as assigned

Experience and Background
Bachelor's degree in Engineering and P.Eng certification
Knowledge of manufacturing processes including automated packaging
3 years managerial experience

This is a full-time position based out of Smiths Falls with frequent travel required.
