Canadian Industrial Sales Manager - Western Canada

We’re looking for an experienced Industrial Sales Manager with strong technical abilities to join our team. The position is for Southern Alberta and South Eastern BC. It requires the ability to coach, support and manage distribution while continuously developing relationships with key end users. This position reports to the Western Canada Regional Business Development Manager. Description of duties and responsibilities:
Increase sales and market share of MSA’s complete line of environmental, health and safety products to industrial, construction, government and commercial customers.
Successfully implement strategies and tactics relating to target markets and segments.
Manage and support a network of regional and national distribution partners.
Provide PPE solutions and continue to grow MSA’s market share in the construction market within the Southern Alberta and South Eastern BC.
Provide support and training for our stake holders by using tools such as evaluations, demonstrations, web casting, joint sales calls, MSA meeting presentations and reach out calls.

Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:
Demonstrated selling and account managements skills
Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal)
Proven analytical ability and solid leadership qualities
Demonstrated ability to grasp technical product knowledge
30-40% domestic travel within the assign geographical area

Education and experience required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
This position is available at three different career levels based upon experience, education, etc.:
Level I: 5 years sales experience
Level II: 6 years of sales experience
Level III: 8 years sales experience; Bachelors degree in related field or educational academic equivalent; 4 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a Bachelors degree

Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant field.
Knowledge of the industrial market.
Demonstrated ability to execute sales plans and overcome obstacles.
Previous safety and/or technical product sales experience.
QSSP (Qualified Safety Sales Professional) Certification or relevant technical expertise.
Sales experience with fall protection, gas protection and/or respiratory protection.
Experience working with CRM type pipeline management tools.
