Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as needed.
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and storage areas.
- Ensure proper food handling and safety practices are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
- Support the Head Chef in executing daily specials and menu changes.
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with kitchen staff.
