About the Role
Schouten has an immediate opening for an experienced, full-time, permanent, Licensed Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Road Technician who will operate a service truck and service heavy equipment at various job sites as required. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, organized and a self starter.

Responsibilities
· Troubleshoot, repair/rebuild, maintain and service various types of heavy construction equipment within established standards including but not limited to dozers, excavators, backhoes, Skidsteers, landscape equipment, highway tractors and trailers, light duty pickups, hydraulic and electrical implements, concrete crushing equipment, etc.
· Ability to complete repairs/servicing within established guidelines in a busy, fast-paced environment or on location without compromising safety or quality
· Inspect equipment to detect faults/malfunctions
· Diagnose equipment using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repairs required
· Perform scheduled and regular maintenance service on our fleet equipment
Qualifications and Skills:
· Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Technician certification or equivalent experience (5 years preferred)
· Valid Driver’s License
· High Degree of Mechanical Aptitude
· Previous heavy equipment or farm equipment repair is an asset
· Familiarity with CAT SIS program is an asset
· Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38.00-$50.00 per hour
