TD Precision Steelworks Ltd is a leading supplier of precision and structural metal components and value-added services to customers throughout the lower mainland and interior of BC.
Our CNC Plasma Cutting Department is looking to hire for our afternoon/night shift. The afternoon shift consists of 4 ten-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday and overtime as required.
Only applicants who currently live in the area and are able to attend an in-person interview will be considered.
Job Responsibilities:
· Load and unload material on and off the burn tables in an organized manner
· Safe operations of forklifts, overhead cranes and other hand-held tools
· Clean, label, organize and palletize parts
· Maintenance and pre-shift inspections of machinery
· Assist operators to efficiently meet deadlines and budgets
· Follow all safety guidelines regarding safe operations of all equipment and shop activity
· General shop cleanup
To be our successful candidate you would need to have:
· High school
· Steel toed boots
· Experience in the metal fabrication industry
· Basic knowledge of tape measures
· Overhead crane and forklift experience
· Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Able to stand for extended periods
· Organized and able to multitask
· A positive attitude, self-motivated with a strong work ethic
· Punctual and reliable
· Good hand eye coordination
· Ability to work independently and as a team, self-starter and energetic
· Competent English skills.
