The Clerk, Walmart Layout Center is responsible for setting up and maintaining the floor space to support various merchandising activities, including modular builds, special projects, and fixture reviews. This position may involve executing the setup, tear-down, and storage of merchandising programs and operating material handling and specialized equipment while adhering to safety standards.
This role ensures the backroom is organized and safe, managing merchandise flow from receiving to staging areas, fixture retrievals, inventory maintenance, and the correct disposal of waste. The Clerk may also control and record all merchandise, fixtures, and equipment entering and exiting the facility, ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining accurate digital documentation.
Customer service is a key responsibility, involving assisting suppliers, buyers, and associates with deliveries, locating lost merchandise, and answering questions about policies and procedures. The Clerk may also collaborate and communicate with various teams and stakeholders to support efficient operations and address business needs.
Maintaining a clean and secure work area by following all safety compliance procedures, operating power equipment, and performing general housekeeping duties is essential. The Clerk is expected to adapt to changing priorities and learn from feedback, contributing to continuous improvement opportunities within the facility.

Preferred Qualifications:
2–3 years of experience in receiving, merchandising, or warehouse operations.
Previous experience with inventory handling, stock organization, and receiving procedures is preferred.
Basic computer and data entry skills
Ability to accurately receive, sort, and organize merchandise and inventory
Strong attention to detail
Good communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Certifications: Counterbalance, First Aid
The pay range for this position is $47,300.00 - $65,010.00. Pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
