About the Project:
We are seeking an experienced site supervisor to lead the construction of a boutique townhouse development in New Westminster, BC. This role will be responsible for managing all on-site construction activities, coordinating trades and consultants, maintaining project schedules, ensuring quality control, and delivering the project safely, on time, and within budget.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on construction professional with strong experience in wood-frame residential construction and townhouse developments.
About the Role
- Make sure project schedule is on track working in partnership with the Project Manager
- Carry out project work plans aimed at maintaining projects on track and on budget
- Manage all vital aspects of the construction site
- Maintain a professional, safe and organized site
- Manage all day to day activities
- Manage and schedule sub contractors, suppliers and vendors
- Manage direct employees, including carpenters and labourers
- Manage materials and service purchase orders
- Lead site project meetings and provide direction and guidance when needed
- Maintain daily report and schedule to demonstrate site progress
Qualifications
- 10+ years experience in construction
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Foreman, Assistant Superintendent, or Superintendent at a construction company in the Lower Mainland.
- Experience in wood frame construction
- Experience in single-family, townhomes, or multi-family
- Combination of work experience and/or certification/training in an industry related trade
- Working knowledge of health and safety programs within the general construction industry
- Carpentry background
- Red Seal certification a strong asset
