We have a full-time position for a Training & Learning Coordinator in Calgary, AB.

Working within the IT team and reporting to the Digital Transformation Manager, the Training and Learning Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the development, maintenance, and delivery of a training curriculum to support Black Diamond employee onboarding, career development and retention from a technology perspective.

We are seeking internal candidates who have become experts in SAP Business One, and the processes and procedures required to complete key tasks within the organization and have a desire to grow their career in Training & Development. The ideal candidate will be patient, structured, organized, methodical and motivated to assist in empowering employees with the knowledge and skills required to do their jobs. This role will be responsible for assisting in the coordination and delivery of the BOXX-It-Up program, as well as other technology training initiatives. For the right candidate, we are open to employees working from other company locations, however Edmonton or Calgary is preferred. This role may require 20-25% travel.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Assess training needs and certification requirements
Structure and development of the internal training program including but not limited to:
Development and maintenance of training documents and procedures, visual aids and other educational materials
Provide on-the-job training support to new hires
Work with the Digital Transformation Manager to identify suitable external developmental based training courses where applicable
Plan and direct classroom training, electronic learning, multimedia programs, and other computer-aided instructional technologies, simulators, conferences and workshops
Conducts training classes by presenting job-specific, company-specific, and generic software applications and personal computer classes
Evaluate training effectiveness and report statistics/metrics for continual improvement
Ensure the quality and consistency of course content throughout a course life cycle
Liaise with all Business Units in identifying training gaps
Mentor other instructors in the subject matter, content, and course delivery techniques for assigned technical courses
Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications
Maintains safe and healthy training environment by following organization standards and legal regulations
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Continuously enhance instructional delivery and presentation skills

Qualifications:
3-5 years’ experience in a training-based environment is preferred
Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Outlook, and document management systems is essential; Prezi or other training software considered an asset
Must be fluent in English both oral and written
Excellent communication skills; written and verbal with a focus on presentation skills
Must be self-motivated with the ability to be proactive, handle simultaneous projects and work independently
Must be flexible to last minute changes/directions in a fast paced environment
Ability to collaborate in a team environment
Strong organizational, prioritization skills; attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills
Familiarity with Black Diamond processes and systems is considered an asset
SAP Business One experience is considered an asset
Experience with a LMS (Learning Management System) is considered an asset
Modular Building Industry experience is considered an asset.
