Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Rust Check Undercoater to join our automotive service team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying rust-proofing and undercoating treatments to vehicles, ensuring long-lasting protection against corrosion. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with automotive repairs, and familiarity with various hand and power tools. Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicles for undercoating by cleaning and masking areas as needed
- Apply rust-proofing treatments using specialized equipment and techniques
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to complete applications
- Inspect vehicles post-treatment to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Assist with vehicle repairs or other mechanical tasks as required
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures during application processes
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand vehicle components
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in automotive applications
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, including lifting parts or equipment up to 50 pounds
- Experience working with automotive undercoating or rust-proofing products is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Mechanic experience is advantageous for understanding vehicle structures and systems
Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
