Purpose:
The Senior Developer, Identity and Access Management role is responsible for the application development, implementation and support of York University's enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform by maintaining the integration of the IAM enterprise platform (IAM platform) which is comprised of Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Access Management (AM) systems, which services critical applications at York University, including Student Information System (SIS), ERP systems, Learning Management Systems, CRM, Email, Data services, and collaboration services for employees and students.Reporting to the Associate Director IAM, the Senior Developer, Identity and Access Management role, ensures the assigned systems in the IAM platform are available and confidential data is secured and functioning efficiently across all integrations at York University. The role provides sustained and ongoing senior-level system architecture and development support and advice on the enterprise platform and cloud infrastructure configuration. The role will serve as the technical lead for releases/upgrades/refreshes to the enterprise IAM application and will work with external vendors (i.e., system integrators) to understand changes/modifications to core functionality and to ensure changes are tested and implemented in accordance with planned timelines to minimize downtime and availability of the IAM application for operational efficiency.This role also facilitates the development of procedures to solve complex business problems that use the IAM platform's capabilities, leverages on-premises and cloud solutions, and aligns to York University's business processes. The Senior Developer, Identity and Access Management role takes ownership of tasks and problems to ensure uninterrupted key services to the community.
Education:
University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline, or an equivalent of four years' recent experience (defined as within the last five years) working at York University and performing the same or similar tasks. This education equivalency is in addition to the experiential requirements outlined in below.
Experience:
Seven (7) years' recent and related Information Technology experience, including one (1) year experience in Information Security or Identity and Access Management. Previous experience with IAM platforms such as ForgeRock, Duo, Sailpoint, CyberArk is highly desirable. Experience with process design is an asset.

- Solid understanding of application and web servers as well as networking concepts, such as proxy, firewall, etc.
- Excellent organizational skills. Demonstrates workflow oversight skills.
