Qualifications:
- Possess a valid Class 1 Driver’s Licence
- Clean commercial vehicle driver’s abstract (5years)
- Provincial or Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Crane Ticket, 2nd or 3rd year apprenticeship
- 3-5 years proven experience with a solid understanding of crane operations and safety procedure
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to express a positive attitude in stressful situations / handle stress effectively and constructively
- Strong understanding of all safety regulations
Responsibilities:
- Conduct preoperational checks
- Safely maneuver the crane to the designated location, considering factors such as weight, balance, as well as road and weather conditions
- Complete all necessary documentation, both pre & post job
- Operate crane to lift, move, and position heavy loads, materials, and equipment
- Ensure all loads are properly secured and balanced
- Perform routine maintenance on the crane
- Comply with all safety regulations and JDA company policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and the general public
Certifications & Training:
- Valid First Aid
- Valid H2S
- Be certified in ODA or equivalent for defensive driving (preferred, but will train)
