Here is the Job Summary:
We are currently recruiting Order Picker Forklift Operator(Crown model) for our client based out in Mississauga.
The ideal candidate will have experience operating Crown Order Picker equipment and possess strong inventory control knowledge in a warehouse environment. This is a long-term, ongoing position and drivers with exceptional work ethics, attendance and performance can be given a hired-on opportunity with our client.
What a typical day looks like?
The Inventory Control associate is responsible to perform conduct weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly cycle counts, and accurately provide reports to the management.
The candidate would be responsible for operating any of the machines based on daily/weekly operational requirements
Daily allocation reporting and distribution assisting with the day to day questions from internal teams and client teams
Conduct cycle counts including researching and documenting inventory discrepancies to identify root causes and possible solutions
Monitor and perform key functions related to inventory transactions to assure that they are accurate and timely
Engagement in order picking using WMS Building and staging shipments
Carry out stocks and putting it away
Perform regular inspection and maintenance of forklift
Manage the load and unload of trailers/containers as required
Follow with supervisors and operators to effectively handle material and notify them of problems/concerns
Requirements:
- Must have Valid order picker / cherry picker license- Crown models
- Must have Valid working at heights / fall arrest certificate
- A valid Order Picker forklift experience and License
- Inventory control experience in a warehouse setting.
- Must have operated an order picker / cherry picker for over a year - machines operate on a guide wire.
- Must know how to operate a RF scanner
- Must be detail oriented
- Scan and put away all new inventory into narrow aisle rack locations
- Scan and create 'pick carts' for picking
- Follow scanning instructions and pick & scan appropriate product and place & scan into corresponding tote/skid
- Must be able to handle 50 LBS
- Associate must be comfortable performing GENERAL LABOUR duties as per the operations requirements such as skid building, wrapping, moving products, manual order picking, cleaning etc.
- Associates MUST BE AVAILABLE TO DO EXTENDED HOURS
