We are looking for a strong Staff Software Developer, will have an opportunity to be a technical lead and mentor for the team in developing and designing system design and architecture. You will also help us build a highly scalable and performant Walmart.ca eCommerce platform to match our exponential growth. As a Staff Software Developer, you will be responsible for building technical roadmaps for the team and help in transitioning our platform to micro-app architecture using next-gen technologies. You will also be leading design and architectural discussions for Frontend and API gateway layer, and building prototypes for the team to validate ideas. Additionally, you will work closely with the Product Owners to develop innovative customer experiences and user interfaces. #LI-SN1
Design and develop scalable, performant and responsive FE architecture.
Build technical roadmap and proof-of-concepts to validate architectural and design choices.
Develop fault-tolerant and highly performant API gateway layer which can interact with many other micro-services.
Actively participate in growing and coaching fellow team members.
Able to present solutions to both technical and non-technical audience.
Able to independently handle high impact critical and performance issues.
Actively participates in the agile practices and ceremonies for the team.

Canada Walmart Division
BA/BS/MA/MS degree in Computer Science or closely related field or equivalent practical experience.
Experience building responsive UIs which are optimized for mobile devices.
8-10 years of software development experience working in NodeJS, Scala, Java, Ruby on Rails or Python.
Solid understanding of building RESTful APIs.
Have a strong passion for developing elegant and well-designed frameworks.
Experience in building and designing scalable FE systems is a big plus.
