Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice for Wednesdays, working at least 6 hours, sometimes up to 8.5 hours. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental hygiene, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team. This role offers an opportunity to provide exceptional dental care in a friendly, professional environment, utilizing advanced tools and technology. Duties
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Assist with patient examinations and record keeping using management software
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Maintain a clean and organized operatories in compliance with infection control protocols
- Assist with pediatric patients when necessary, ensuring comfort and understanding during procedures
- Stay current with industry best practices, including updates in orthodontics or other specialties as relevant
Qualifications
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in Ontario
- Prior experience working in a dental office setting preferred; experience with Dentrix is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
- Mandarin or Cantonese speaking ability preferred to effectively serve our community
- Ability to work well within a team environment and independently when needed
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient safety

Pay: $43.00-$50.00 per hour
