Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and versatile individual to join our team as a Retail Sales Associate. In this role, you will not only excel in providing outstanding customer service and assisting with day-to-day retail operations but also play a pivotal role in managing our social media presence and creating engaging content to connect with our customers online.
Responsibilities:
- Serve customers with enthusiasm and expertise, offering personalized recommendations for pet care products.
- Handle transactions efficiently using our point-of-sale system and ensure accuracy in all financial transactions.
- Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including restocking shelves and creating visually appealing displays.
- Respond to customer inquiries in person, over the phone, and through email, providing exemplary service at all times.
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as receiving shipments, monitoring stock levels, and conducting regular product counts.
- Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and customer loyalty.
- Create captivating content for social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, using Canva or similar design tools.
- Monitor social media channels, engage with followers, and respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.
- Analyze social media metrics and provide insights to optimize content performance and drive growth.
Qualifications:
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong passion for pets and a solid understanding of pet care products and nutrition.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and experience managing business accounts.
- Ability to create visually appealing content using design tools such as Canva.
- Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Candidates with Post-Secondary Education preferred.
