MindBeacon began with CBT Associates – a team of therapists including Psychologists and Psychological Associates practicing across multiple locations in the Greater Toronto Area, and now providing virtual therapy through secure video or your favourite device!
BEACON was first introduced in 2016 as an in-clinic innovation to enhance delivery and measurement of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). One of Canada’s most purposeful digital start-ups, BEACON officially launched in 2017 as a fully digital experience providing treatment through digitally delivered CBT with the one-on-one support of a dedicated therapist. We’re looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic and client-centered individual to join our company as a BEACON iCBT Therapist. Reporting into our Clinical Lead, this is an exciting opportunity to join the e-therapy team! Working remotely in Saskatchewan, and alongside national colleagues, we strive to create a supportive and collaborative environment across teams and provinces! Our iCBT Therapists work with BEACON users (or clients) to ensure they are supported during their treament and their experience is optimized through our digital treatment platform.

An Overview of the Key Responsibilities:
Provide effective protocol-driven iCBT through our digital platform
Foster and develop strong therapeutic relationships with clients by providing tailored support through secure messaging
Personalize client treatment plans through the ability to conceptualize client needs
Encourage client engagement and skill-building by supporting their progress through the platform’s program and activities
Create reports and notes to clearly and accurately capture each client’s treatment progress
Measure client outcomes and overall satisfaction
Contribute to a supportive and team-oriented working environment

The Skills and Experience That Make You a Great Fit for Our Team:
Master’s or Graduate Degree in Social Work or Psychology
Registered and in good standing with the applicable provincial college (proof of college registration will be required)
Proof of practice liability insurance
Experience using CBT to treat various mental health conditions in adults
Experience with, or willing to learn, disability management/return-to-work treatment
Strong written communication skills with the ability to write clear, concise and professional messages to support our clients
Comfortable working independently but able to seek guidance and respond to feedback, as necessary
Proficient computer skills, with demonstrated ability to learn and work with new platforms
Access to a computer with appropriate password protection and internet capabilities
Ability to commit 10 hours/week, Monday-Friday, which includes daily client check-ins
Comfortable working in a dynamic and ever-changing work environment, with a can-do, hands-on approach to work
What Sets You Apart from the Crowd:
Bilingual; English and French (reading and writing), considered a strong asset!
Previous work experience in community and/or hospital settings
Previous work experience using a digital platform to provide CBT
Registered, or willing to register, across multiple provinces
Identifying as an evidence-based, client-centered practitioner – believing in the improvement of resiliency, absenteeism, productivity and general wellness of Canadians using a digital therapy modality!
