Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mason/Bricklayer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in masonry work, including laying bricks, blocks, and stone, and will be responsible for constructing, restoring, and repairing structures. This role requires a strong understanding of construction principles and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure precise execution of projects. The Mason/Bricklayer will contribute to both new builds and renovation projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and safety standards are maintained throughout all phases of work.
Duties
- Lay bricks, blocks, stone, and other masonry materials according to project specifications and blueprints
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine layout and materials needed
- Use hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, levels, and mortar mixers to complete masonry tasks
- Operate power tools including grinders, drills, and saws safely and effectively
- Assist with renovation and restoration projects by repairing or rebuilding existing structures
- Apply caulking or sealing materials as needed for waterproofing or finishing purposes
- Operate heavy equipment when required for material handling or site preparation
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain a safe work environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in masonry or bricklaying within construction or renovation settings
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation related to masonry work
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of construction practices including restoration, renovation, and caulking techniques
- Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods and lift heavy materials as needed
- Valid certification or licensing related to heavy equipment operation is a plus but not mandatory
