Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various cleaning environments, including hotels, industrial settings, and hospitality services. As a Cleaner, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, ensuring that all areas are well-kept and presentable for guests and staff alike. Maximus Empire provides diverse cleaning contracts, not limited to housekeeping, and we're proud to currently serve a hotel in downtown Ottawa.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including guest rooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
- Follow established procedures for cleaning and sanitizing surfaces to prevent the spread of germs and maintain safety protocols.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient cleaning operations and support overall facility upkeep.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while performing cleaning tasks.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel, industrial cleaning, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina; ability to lift moderate weights and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment is advantageous.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 30 per week
