Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, educate clients on product offerings, and ensure a welcoming and professional environment. This role requires strong communication skills, a passion for the industry, and the ability to handle various retail tasks efficiently. The Budtender will serve as a key point of contact for customers, guiding them through their purchasing experience while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products tailored to their needs
- Provide detailed product information, including effects, dosages, and usage instructions
- Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions and cash handling
- Upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction and meet sales goals
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure product availability
- Manage inventory levels, restock shelves, and assist with stock organization
- Keep accurate records using Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and Filing systems
- Handle customer inquiries via in-person communication and digital channels in multiple languages (English, French preferred)
- Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations regarding product sales and record keeping
- Assist with training new staff members when necessary and contribute to a positive team environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, hospitality, or customer service is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities such as French or other languages are a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel; familiarity with POS systems and computer operation required
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and filing tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods during shifts
- Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and inventory management
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Strong organizational skills with time management capabilities to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are preferred to serve diverse clientele effectively
