Due to sustained growth we are currently looking for a Lead Machine builder to join our growing team. A self starter, who is motivated to become a key contributor should apply by sending their resume through to: [email protected].
Responsibilities:
Competently read and interpret mechanical drawings, layout specifications and Bills of Materials for assembly.
Gather parts as needed from the Bill of Materials and correct fasteners for the conveyor section.
Accurately assemble conveyors and packaging equipment as per supplied assembly drawings.
Cut conveyor wear-strips and rail material to correct lengths as needed for assembly using band saw.
Accurately Roll/Bend conveyor rail materials to the supplied drawings using rolling equipment.
Make modifications to assemblies as needed, using a drill, grinder, and cut-off wheel.
Ensure proper protective equipment is always worn and proper tools used based on the task. Maintain a safe and tidy work area. Follow safety rules and create a safe culture.
Perform all duties in accordance with all company policies, procedures, and standards for quality
Record job number and time activity through computer stations.
The ideal candidate must:
Have a minimum 2 years of experience in the assembly of conveyors and/or machines
Supply own basic hand tools (wrench sets, screwdrivers, hammer, punches, square, etc.)
Be a self-driven and ambitious personality with a strong attention to detail.
Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 25lbs.
Possess exceptional interpersonal skills, good communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instruction.
Be dedicated and available to put in extra effort when project schedules and customer needs require it, such as overtime in short notice
Communicate part needs or possibly problems with a conveyor assembly with the Shop Supervisor to ensure delays are avoided.
Co-ordinate, interact, and work collaboratively with other team members, vendors, and the client at site.
Be able to work independently and cooperatively with others with some supervision and guidance.
Occasional machining and welding would be an asset.
