About The Opportunity:
We have partnered with an established Engineering Consulting Firm who is looking to add a Senior Highway Engineer to their growing team. This is a full-time hybrid opportunity and is ideal for someone who enjoys tackling technical challenges while leading the design of transportation network projects.
Responsibilities:

Lead the preliminary and detailed design of transportation projects for the MTO.

Prepare technical reports, contract documents, design drawings, quantity estimates and cost estimates.

Provide leadership, guidance and support to junior engineers and technical staff.

Work in conjunction with local and regional teams to create and submit proposals for new highway project ventures.

Foster deep relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Oversee consultants, subcontractors and field staff to ensure project timelines are met.
Requirements:

Licensed P.Eng. designation in Ontario.

Minimum of 10 + years of experience in highway design projects with an MTO focus.

Strong working relationship with the MTO.

Experience preparing designs for multi-lane highways, collector roads, interchanges, and intersections.

Proven experience with Ontario Provincial Standard Specifications (OPSS), and drawings (OPSD), Transportation Association of Canada Standards (TAC), and MTO design standards.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Proven ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders.
