Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently move products within our facility. This role requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and hand carts to transport materials and products throughout the warehouse.
- Perform order picking tasks, ensuring accuracy in fulfilling customer orders.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functionality and report any mechanical issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment is required.
- Familiarity with order picking processes and warehouse distribution practices is a plus.
- Basic math skills for inventory management and order fulfillment tasks.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job duties.
